The workout on the "Reformer" is different from any other gym equipment you will find. It is the most widely known and the most popular piece of equipment that Joseph H. Pilates invented.

The Reformer is an apparatus that has a sliding carriage within a rectangular bed-like frame. Weighted springs attatched provide varying resistance to the carriage depending upon how many springs are attatched. The spring tension and pulley system works the entire body using gentle isotonic movements for developing balanced muscle strength and endurance through a full range of motion, head to toe. Straps at the end accommodate the arms or legs.

Emphasis on precise flowing movements, concentration on the awareness of what your body is doing combined with breath control all work together to give a total body workout.
